Capitals vs. Leafs - Nov. 28th, 5:00pm - TSN4

NHL need to work on their scheduling. There’s currently 10 games off. 7 of them faced off at 4pm. 2 of them at 5pm.

So they’ve all been in intermissions at the same time.

Stagger half of them to 4.30 or something so there’s live action to flick to during the period breaks of other games.

I was thinking this when they put the lineup on the screen before the game.

How have they massacred the roster so badly so quickly.

Like who on the lineup would you want to keep/watch. As you say, Cowan and Knies I’d keep. Enjoying watching them. I keep Matthews in the hope he frees up and returns to even 95% of the old him probably with a different coach. Robertson potentially has something. JT deserves to stay also. The rest of the forwards I really wouldn’t bother or care what happens to. (I’m only keeping one of Matthew’s and Nylander in my scenario).

On D there’s probably not one I’d keep in all honestly. Possibly OEL.

Woll I find good to watch and definitely have as a key part going forward.

That’s about it.
Matthews hurt or not has been the biggest disappointment. The guy doesn't give a rats ass. Never cared for his demeanour, interviews etc. Guy is only interested in one thing. I always harped the core should have been dissected long ago and he should have been traded. Now he looks like a shell of himself and the return I think would be a lot less than if they would have retooled years ago. Another reason it's going to be some dark years ahead.

I was going to say I’ve actually little to no idea how the Leafs are winning this game but actually I do think a big chunk of the reason has the number 60 on the back of his jersey.

That and a very premature whistle from a ref after 10 seconds.

The Leafs try to throw the puck back to the blue line a lot where the defenseman turns their back to the offensive zone. I don't understand the strategy of taking away the option of a quick shot or slap pass
