    Idiocracy 2024

Been a while since we've met a politician that wasn't amoral and didn't follow the money. Liberal, Conservative, or a fence sitting NDP.

2024-25 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion

I have no issue having discussions. Nor do I have an issue with opposing view points. It's the flip flopping that grows tiresome. Many posters have little to say when the team is on a 5 game win streak. They then flood a thread as soon as a few losses in a row occur. The Leafs have been far...

    Federal Election 2019

I'm traditionally a conservative voter. That said, I agree that voting for Poilievre federally or for that matter, Ford provincially is a real tough thing to do. Unfortunately, I think I'm in the minority of conservatives. I think a lot of that has to do with the "angry F' Trudeau" movement...

2024-25 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion

Yes, no doubt. The timing of this little downturn is unfortunate as it's timed in with the other top teams in the Atlantic. That said, 3 games ago, we were on our longest winning streak of the season and had won 6 of the last 7.

    Federal Election 2019

How do you build a campaign, between March 9th and the election in the fall enough to turn the tides on what is already looking like a Conservative landslide? They couldn't manage it in the States. Why would Canada be different? Especially considering the democratic approval rating was better...

2024-25 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion

Yet another reason to avoid this place when the Leafs are "struggling". That post above is proof that every team goes through struggles. The meltdowns that happen in this place is ridiculous.

    Federal Election 2019

This is great, and I would agree that a good number of people are angry just to be angry....but that's true no matter your political alliances.

    Flyers vs. Maple Leafs - Jan. 7th, 7:30pm - SN, TSN 1050

What is their improved defense other than Tavev? Do we feel he makes "that much" of a difference. I would argue that the simple game is what's leading to better defense.

    2025 World Juniors

A team should never be built solely on either attribute. Coaches generally lean heavily on the skilled end and pay little attention to the play drivers. My daughter just went through it with a Junior team she's auditioning for. During the ice she was all over their current players. Overpowering...

    2025 World Juniors

I think the number one downturn in registration is the cost. $12,000/yr to play AAA hockey in the GTA. $10,000 to play in the top female leagues. On top of that fee, players are paying for personal trainers, private skills training, mental health coaches..etc. People simply cannot afford it, or...

    2025 World Juniors

I really think that in one off tournaments like the WJC, the lack of play together is what hurts Canada. The USA Hockey program recognizes and brings their players together at a much younger age. They then continue to play together. For example, The U18 team is playing 25 USHL games together...
