why dont the leafs go after Miller?. any ideas on his cost?. I think buf may be ready to deal him for the right price, and I'll bet he has min five solid yrs left in him. just think what he could do for us, playing the way he could with a new lease on his career.

I have to admit, Nutman, this would be great.  But I think that the cost would be borderline prohibitive.  Two years from now, maybe the Leafs blow their brains out in acquiring a top flight goalie.  But right now, it's sort of a 'six of one - half dozen of another' type scenario for the team.

Just think how you would feel going into the next two games against Bos with Miller in net. I know I for one would be thinking four pts.

Nutman, I love your optimism but Millar almost was shelled by the Loafs, a few posts and the Buds would have won by a few goals so I don't see how he would take 4 points from Rask.

Why would you be thinking 4 points more with the guy with worse stats?

That, and the kind of numbers Miller usually puts up are right on par with the kind of numbers Reimer and Scrivens have put up this season.

Not to mention that aside from the last year or two, Buffalo was always a pretty defensive hockey team.  They had no problem clogging the neutral zone and playing hook and hold hockey.

Also, Miller seems to like to blame everyone else for his struggles.  Seeing as Raycroft was eaten alive for having his eyes shut on the bench for a minute and Toskala was raked over coals for his "it's a team game" kind of comments, I can't imagine how Miller would survive the Toronto media.

Why get A goalie when you can get LE goalie??!!
