Undrafted 20/21 year old who leads the Whl in scoring, he is only 5'9" or so, but is a free asset.  He just won CHL player of the week after notching 10 goals and 9 assists in four games.

115 points in 52 games with a whopping 20 goals and 33 points in his last 10 games.

Could be nothing, could be the next Marty St Louis, he can fight too apparently.

I hope Burke can add him to the Marlies for the Calder run.

With numbers like that, he's going to get a lot of attention. Can't be signed until his season is over, though, which might not be for a while, since Tri-City is the #1 team in the W.

Of course, he's probably just the next Justin Azevedo, but, at least this one can be signed, as his draft eligibility is over.

Or, I could be wrong and this could happen:

DarrenDreger: Phoenix Coyotes have signed WHL leading scorer Brendan Shinnimin to an entry level contract.

Actually there's quite a few decent undrafted players who seem to be doing well. At the same time I don't want to go crazy, isn't there a 50 contract limit?

I'm actually really confused (not that I thought Burke would sign him). I was in agreement with you about how the rule worked.
