Am I misremembering it or did something similar happen to a coach in recent memory? Where they were investigated for "Unprofessional Conduct" or what have you, got fired, and it was never really spoken of again.
 
Dallas? coach Jim Montgomery for ?material act of unprofessionalism? and subsequently checked into rehab for alcohol issues.

The St Louis Blues have since hired him as an assistant.

Admittedly I can be an unreasonable optimist at times but I really do think we're not too far away from a time when we can look back and say that the idea that you could be a good or effective manager while being insufferable making the people you worked for miserable was pretty stupid.

Here's hoping. It's certainly quite pervasive in hockey culture.
 
I mean the number of people who got so upset about NHL players not wearing suits on game day still makes me leery that hockey culture itself isn't ready to truly change.
