Kadri "made available" -according to 2 teams

As per Kypreos - "In wake of Carlyle rant this morning 2 #NHL clubs have confirmed for me #Leafs have made Kadri available in any trade discussion."

Wow.  Is this serious?  I was joking in the Clarkson thread about slagging Kadri now but I can't believe the Leafs want to dump him.

I don't know what Carlyle said but I think this would be more about humbling him than actually trading him but who knows, IIRC Burke blasted him more than a few times and it seemed like most were in agreement that he not only needed time in the AHL to develop his game but also to keep his ego in check.

I'd be very surprised if they were just dumping him, that seems to go against Nonis' more patience oriented approach.

I could be wrong but I believe Kypreos said two teams confirmed to him that Kadri has been made available in which case the title of this thread is misleading.

There's also a pretty substantial gap between making available/willing to trade and looking to trade. It certainly doesn't sound like they're looking to "dump" him, they just recognize he's a valuable piece that they may need to move to make the improvements they want. Now, that being said, I'd prefer not to trade him and I don't trust the current brain trust to make the right move, but, well, here we are.

So St Louis for Stewart or Winnipeg for E Kane?

Probably Buffalo for Tyler Myers.....

::)

Too bad they can't have patience with the young players.  Unless it is for a top young player I hope the management holds out.

Maybe it is Phaneuf and Kadri for Shea Weber....

I would love to know which 2 teams they are and what names were thrown around.

The first two teams I immediately think of are Calgary and Anaheim because of the obvious organizational connections there, but I can't readily think of a deal that involves Kadri and makes sense for both sides.

Agreed, apologies.
Edited.

Can't imagine teams are going to be lining up for Kadri or offering anything / anyone significant for him. He is wildly inconsistent and his attitude / ego / character has been a major problem since day 1.

Kadri is 23 and is on a 50 point pace.  He is doing well.  Lots of teams would be interested in a 23 year old center who scores like a decent 2nd line center.

What specific problems have his ego caused?  I don't know of any.

Exactly.

I mean, the two teams could of asked about Kadri and Nonis probably would of said, "sure he's available, but it's going to take a boatload to get him"
