Kind of surprised - didn't figure more C was anything approaching a priority.. unless of course Bozak is generating a lot of interest on the trade front.

IF that's true, my guess would be a move similar to the one we saw the Sens make today. AHL flotsam for a 4th liner.

If this team does make it to the playoffs they'll need a 4C better than either Smith or Gauthier. And acquiring one almost certainly won't cost them anything of significance that would hurt the future. So it makes sense. It wouldn't have anything to do with Bozak or the top-9.
