Marlie Contracts

With the Leafs entering a long overdue development era with their prospects, a few players have signed minor league contracts that don't count against the 50 contract limit. Who are the current players on minor league contracts who will be playing either for the Marlies or for Orlando?

I was actually working on a full-blown organizational depth chart with these guys included. I'm pretty sure these players all have AHL deals for next season: Richard Clune, Brett  Findlay, Christopher Clapperton, Patrick Watling, Jake Rodewald, Denver Manderson, Andrew Campbell, Brenden Miller, Brady Vail, Matt Rupert.

I read somewhere that Justin Nichols, Rob Madore, Erik Bradford, T.J. Foster, Peter Sivak and Michael Joly were also signed to minor league contracts. Did any invite to the prospect camp impress the Leaf brass enough to warrant an invite to the rookie tournament or a minor league contract?

Justin Nichols signed an ATO (Amateur Try-out Contract) with the Marlies late last season because they needed some goalie depth, but he doesn't have a contract for this upcoming season as of right now. He is at the Leafs development camp. Erik Bradford was the same deal, ATO, but he isn't at the development camp so it's likely the Leafs aren't interested anymore.

Peter Sivak was acquired in a minor-league trade last season, he was likely on a 1-year deal so he might be done.

Michael Joly was only invited to the Leafs camp this year, so he doesn't have a contract as of right now. He and Nichols will probably get invited to the rookie tournament later this summer and that's when they'll really be evaluated more closely. I wouldn't expect any news on them signing until after that.

T.J. Foster and Rob Madore were two guys that I missed, the Marlies did sign them to AHL deals this offseason, thanks.

In addition to Erik Bradford, others missing from the development camp were Max Everson (has never attended in previous years), Connor Brown, Nikita Soshnikov and Matt Rupert.
