I think the Oilers are too banged up. I thought Skinner overachieved last season and played like it this year. So the Oilers lack the goaltending. I'd bet against the oddsmakers and take the Kings.

I feel like this is that series where everything says the Oilers should lose. Inferior goaltending. Inferior defence. But when you have McDavid and Draisaitl they still have the chance to outscore their problems.

Kings in 6 but if this goes 7 I think Edmonton wins.

Kings prevented Oilers from getting a shot on goal for about 18 minutes ...

Hope you are still watching. McDavid took over

5-5
Add in LA falling asleep and it's a recipe for disaster. They tie it then 97 gives the puck away in the LA zone, Bouchard doesn't box out the screen in front and Drai drags his ass back and doesn't back check on Danault who flubbed the game winner. Lots of blame to go around there.

No, I'd seen enough.
Looks like a great comeback attempt.
But when they open up to scratch their way back, more goals coming the other way are not unexpected.

The good news for Leafs fans is they both knocked themselves out with effort in game 1.
Hope it is a long, long series with lots of OT. I hope all but the Leafs series are.

It will be an interesting game 2. Can the Kings lock it down again or does McDavid et al run wild? Probably a bit of both.

Yup, probably. LA got way to loose being up 4-0 thinking the game was over. McD will do what he does but LA will be different.
