I hate Pat Roy, and I don't like the Islanders. Not a big fan of Carolina, either, but I will be rooting for them. I am going to say Carolina in 5.

Shots in game 2 are 37-12 for Canes

And good old Freddy has given up 3 goals on those 12 shots.

That would have been terrible if they lost that. Isles are totally outclassed.
Isles were winning 3-1 going into the 3rd and winning 3-2 with just over 2:15 mins left. Canes scored 3 the last 2:15.

On two of the goals the Islander was in on Freddy alone.
The Horvath goal from high slot seemed stoppable.

Islanders had been 81-0 when up by 3 goals ...

A few have picked the Canes to win it all.

If the Oilers (up 2-0) win tonight and Dallas comes back against Vegas (down 2-4) that apparently would be the first time all the home teams in the NBA & NHL playoffs won their opening playoff game. Kind of a wild fact.

Pretty epic ending to Game 2.

With just 2:15 left in the game: CAR with their goalie pulled scored to tie, 9 seconds CAR scores again, NYI pulls their goalie, CAR scores again into the empty net, 102 PIM after the empty net goal, and CAR wins.

Yeah. Bit of a backswing on the ENG by Guentzel (nothing showboaty - not a full slapper or anything, but a little more than he probably needed) and the Islanders' frustration from blowing a 3-0 lead clearly boiled over. Some definite bad blood in that series going in - they faced each other last year and this is their 3rd series in 6 seasons - and it's spilling out now.
