Hockey's such a bizarre game. Whod've have thought Hellebuyck, a Vezina candidate, would've had a save percentage even worse than Samsonov's?

I picked the Avs before the series started cause top to bottom I like them a lot more than the Jets.  The only chance I gave the Jets was Hellebuyck playing amazing and Georgiev being crap.  They were both not that great, but Georgiev was better.  A surprise in how they won, but not surprised that they did.

I picked the Avs before the series started cause top to bottom I like them a lot more than the Jets.  The only chance I gave the Jets was Hellebuyck playing amazing and Georgiev being crap.  They were both not that great, but Georgiev was better.  A surprise in how they won, but not surprised that they did.

Yeah I picked Colorado too but after that first game it sure did look like Georgiev was just completely cooked and the Avs had a massive problem on their hands. Goalies are weird.

It gets weirder. I saw a stat on Sportsnet yesterday. The Jets are the first team in NHL history to give up five or more goals in each of its first five playoff games. That's astounding given Hellebuyck, but also given the Jets gave up the fewest goals of any team this season.

In his end-of-season interview, he said he basically saw only half of those pucks that went in. Avs did a good job taking away his eyes and Jets did a poor job of opening a viewing lane. SportsLogiq agrees.
