He just seems like such a smart insurance policy on the 3rd or 4th lines in case the injury bug hits one of our major guys. 43 points in 66 games and a +13 in 16 minutes of ice time per game. Maybe he's asking for a lot or a multi-year deal? I'd happily push Bozak to the 4th line to make room for that guy.
Guilt Trip said:Anybody willing to take a chance on Schremp? He just turned 25, would be cheap, and if he didn't work out he could certainly play for the Marlies....Guy's got some skill....Not comparing him in any shape or form but Marty S. Louis did nothing until he was 26 years old. Could lightning strike twice or is it a matter of effort with him?

What's the deal with JP Dumont? Was there some reason he had such a terrible year last year (ie. injury)? Only 33 and a huge drop off in points.

Slow and a liability defensively. Still has good offensive skills though.

I honestly wouldn't mind that. Especially if he's fine with a 4th line role. I think his connection with Team USA and Burke/Wilson would help that along though. But with our logjam of centres at this point, I don't think it's likely.

I don't think I would mind it either, but I can't see it as likely...especially given what they're purportedly looking for - a (younger?) larger body that can win faceoffs...a 5'10" 35 year old...
Granted, he would bring some decent leadership and defensive play...just the opposite on the size side of things.
