Looks like David Toews will join his brother in Chicago. The Islanders traded him there for future considerations.

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired forward David Toews from the New York Islanders in exchange for future considerations.

The move was announced Friday. The 21-year-old Toews is the younger brother of Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews.

Originally selected by the Islanders 66th overall in the 2008 entry draft, Toews spent two seasons at North Dakota. He recorded nine goals and 17 assists in 55 NCAA games with the Fighting Sioux.

He had 20 goals, 28 assists and 16 penalty minutes in 60 regular-season games with the Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings last season. He had two goals and five assists in six playoff games.

Sort of. He doesn't sound like much of a prospect. I'll be shocked if he plays a NHL game.
Even though he was a second round pick?

He was a 3rd round pick, and I'm sure his last name helped that a little bit. 48 points in 60 games as an overager in the WHL isn't impressive at all. The fact that he was traded for absolutely nothing should say something about his value.

Oops, my bad.  I realized this a few minutes after I posted & came back to fix it but it was too late.  :P  You are probably right about him, I guess I was just thinking he could always have a chance.
