I protested Nixon. Trump is exponentially more dangerous and corrupt.
Part of the problem is a country that claims they are a nation of laws do not hold everyone accountable (Nixon, Iran Contra, Trump, etc)

US media is now about 90% controlled by 6 entities who love their tax breaks, etc.
The US have had a generation of right wing radio, FOX News, etc and now Russians and Elon Musk smothering them with disinformation. (propaganda)
Therefore, the great arbiter of democracy: media in the US is broken.

Their education system is also suspect (ie banning To Kill A Mockingbird, etc.)

Ignorance is rampant and a bunch behave like they're in a cult.

We have to be careful of this in Canada. Similar things are creeping in - particularly in social media.

In the 1960s. there was a lot of worry about the CBC, government funded, becoming what FOX News is.
American oligarchy has proven to be the bigger threat to their media.
