2012 NFL Thread

With the preseason nearly upon us I figured I'd start this year's thread the same way every new NFL thread would start; with news that the Jets are a motherlovin' mess.

Brawl at Jets camp

Two overhyped QB's! One loudmouth coach! Zero chance.

I can't wait for the season to start. So many story lines to look out for. A few:

- Andrew Luck in Indy
- RG3 in Washington (I hate the Redskins, but I have been following RG3 for a long time - I am rooting for this kid)
- Payton Manning in Denver
- Cam Newton - one year wonder?
- Eagles - another hight expectation year
- Randy Moss in SanFran - god I hope Alex Smith learns to throw the ball.
- Giants? Sleeping Giants again?
- the favs: Green Bay, Patriots?
- How will the Saints fare?

Hello,
Terrell Owens signed a one year contract with Seattle in the NFL.
He made 153 touchdown passes in 15 seasons.

Great! he is burning that bridge now.

Awseome job by Romo last night. Big games from Ogletree, Murray and of course, Ware. Our new corners did a nice job too. Always good to beat the champs in their own barn to start things off... and I picked the Giants in the pool.  ::)

Should be interesting in Cleveland this weekend if the club decide to have a minute of silence.

I'd bet not. I think even the mention of his name would lead to a minute of booing.

Breaking news: Saints bounty scandal suspensions overturned for the 4 players suspended including Jonathan Vilma.

Man, that was some grade A stupidity at the end of the Redskins-Rams game.

When he threw the ball at the guy after the whistle?

If I was the coach I might sit him for that.

I was kinda mad, I want RGIII to out perform Luck, all the Stanford Luck fanboys here in NorCal are annoying.

Yeah. For those of you who didn't see it Washington was driving at the end of the fourth down by three. They got the ball down to where it would be about a 46 yard field goal but on their last play their wideout, after taking offense to getting tackled, threw the ball at the DB. 15 yard penalty, 62 yard FG misses badly.

Steve Sabol, he of NFL Films has passed away of brain cancer.

Watched some of the best football entertainment courtesy of Steve and his Dad Ed. RIP Steve...

On espn just now Troy Aikman told viewers to stay tuned for Liverpool v. Man U. Maybe it was for espn2 or something but I've never seen anything like that on an NFL broadcast.

Britain exports their culture really well.

Fox Soccer Channel has the bulk of the US TV rights to the EPL. For the last year or 2, they have shown several games on the main Fox network on a tape-delayed basis, including this one.

Thanks, seahawk. I meant to say Fox. I also forgot to add that the letters in Kate Middleton's name can be re-arranged as "naked tit model".

Fire these @#$%ing SCAB Refs now PLEASE!!!
Lots of awful calls so far, but the ones at the end of the game tonight are unforgiveable! No call on the offensive pass interference and then a clear pick gets called a TD!
