*Gallardo hasn't been named but is likely the starter

That Sid Seixeiro clip at the beginning is the greatest. Largely because of how much of a douche he was being.

WTF is with the start times?!?! Are you kidding me? OMG, first playoff games in decades and there schedule midweek in the middle of the day! So DUMB. I am going to setup the PVR and attempt to avoid finding out the score.

Well in fairness to Sid, it was from last year and he did turn out to be right ;)

MLB always sets up the playoffs so games don't run coincidingly.  They space them out 3 hours apart generally beginning at 1 p.m.

No way the major U.S. networks are going to put the foreign team in a prime time slot, and surely don't care about the 22-year wait.  Does suck for us Jays fans trying to alter our schedules for an early afternoon weekday game.

And the fact that since the Jays became the it thing he has been the biggest fan on twitter. Guy is a douche.

I don't think he's a douche, it's more of a shtick he puts on for entertainment purposes. He's a fan, like all of us and I can't say I blame him in that clip, given Rogers' and the club's audacity at that time. Both he and Tim put on a good show.

As far as the time for the games, we knew this was the likely scenario weeks ago, so I'm not sure why people seem to be so surprised, as if it's big news. There usually always is an afternoon game in the DS and it became pretty clear that once the Jays were in that they would be relegated to playing at that time due to them being the Canadian team and the old excuse that they don't draw a large audience in the U.S. (which of course isn't really true. It isn't any worse than a Baltimore/Tampa Bay-Texas matchup for ratings).

Last year, I recall Baltimore and Detroit playing a 12:35 game, a lot of Tigers fans were displeased because it coincided with a Lions game and people couldn't watch both. They're certainly not going to put the Jays in prime time instead of the big U.S. market LAD-NYM matchup. At least the game on Sunday is at 8 pm, albeit against Sunday Night Football.

Does anyone know if there's a spot in the city where they will let the public watch for free like they did at Maple Leaf Square during Leafs and Raptors playoff games?

Being annoyed when it's made official and puts you in a position of being unable to watch the game isn't the same as being surprised by it.  I'm not surprised, I'm annoyed I can't watch after waiting so long to see them in the playoffs.

3:37 it is tomorrow.  Looking like Canada stops working for most of the afternoon.

So exciting. My oldest who is now 22 has been a Blue Jays fan for a few years now. It's been fun showing him his pictures from the 93 win and him in all his Blue Jays gear and only about 6 to 8 weeks old. It's been a long time but now he gets to experience the feeling.
