Estrada to start game 1, the guys been unreal in the playoffs last year and his only start this year. I like the choice.

Me too.  And it sounds like Sanchez will get game 4 (Gibby said he'll only pitch one game in the ALCS- they seem to still be worried about his innings count).  So Stroman-Happ or Happ-Stroman for games 2 and 3.  If Stroman doesn't pitch until game 3, he'll have gone 13 days between starts.  Then again, pitching game 3 also lines him up to pitch a potential game 7!

Take a hard look at Cleveland's logo... it's about time they move on from that monstrosity.

Anyway, sounds like Jays are the favorites going in! Very exciting time for us Jays fans, GO JAYS GO!

At least we have an excellent post-season record versus teams actively racist against indigenous people...

I'm totes cool with just calling them "the Cleveland Teamnames" or "the Cleveland Doomedtolose" or whatever.

Agreed.  Its as classless as Trump in a modern day society.  All the more reason to pound them into the dirt!

GO JAYS GO!!!

Ugh!  Bummer!

Jays lose 2- O in Game 1 of their ALCS against the Indians.  Missed opportunities, stranded runners,  injury (Devon Travis), Kluber (Cleveland starter) who shut 'em down, and that one lousy pitch (on an otherwise great performance by the Jays'  Estrada), etc. ..

....  oh well it's only Game 1.  On  the other hand...

Since the advent of the seven-game series in 1985, 17 of 30 teams (57 per cent) winning Game 1 have gone on to take the series. But in eight of the last 16 ALCS, the Game 1 loser has gone on to win the series.

So much for our bats.

Good thing Clevland's starters are severely diminished after those two.

There's still hope but it's fading fast.

It may take a little miracle for the Jays to get themselves out of an 0-2 series deficit.  Considering last night's 2-1 loss to Cleveland, where once again the Jays squandered opportunities to forge ahead, in similar fashion to their 2-0 opening game loss.

Unless things change drastically, or Cleveland falls flat on it's face, the Blue Jays hopes of winning this ALCS will hinge on just that....hope and luck.

The last 3 games feel familiar, like September but we're so close yet so far away. The World Series is just right there. Unbearable to watch... so disappointing. Nothing happens, nothing happens, nothing happens, game over and repeat x3.

The swing and miss offense strikes again.  I think the team is going to be very different next year although I'm not sure it will be for the better.

That and I can't wait for 2 more years of Smoak.

Why are Jays playoff tickets on Stubhub cheaper then retail? Shocking to say the least. $115 CAD tickets selling for $40 USD and lots... you can even buy retail tickets from ticket master right now. It was the same yesterday when it was 2-0. Team's don't sell tickets on ticket master do they?

Odds of making the World Series just jumped from 6 to 13% after the win, so that is something right?  :-\

I'll be there tomorrow, hopefully the Jays can push the series back to Cleveland. The door is open a crack now that they have beat Kluber.
It will all hinge on whether the Jays bats wake up, saw some signs of life today.
