The Leafs are fools if they think teams are going to allow them the same pond hockey tactics in the playoffs as they do in the regular season. Let's put it this way, if a player is getting paid less than $3 million and are unwilling to pay the same price Doug Gilmour did in front of the net, in a time the league is supposedly cutting down on cross-checking, they are the root cause of why the Leafs can't get past the first round. Think all these players should be practicing their shot from within 2 feet of the net.
I am seriously asking, not stirring anything up, but who are the players on the lightning who paid the price standing in front of the net?
Also I?m confused, if the league is cracking down on cross checking (which I don?t believe for a second) what price would there be to pay in front of the net?
