Anyone here a player agent or have connections with the ECHL Brampton Beast?

Looking for someone who might be a player agent or know the management or ownership of the Brampton Beast.

My son is looking to return to hockey and thought he would try with the ECHL as a 19 year old.  He played AAA high school hockey and led the team is scoring each year.  He shot over 90 mph standing still as a 17 year old at the Moncton Wildcats Bauer demonstration (compared to the NHL Allstar style of skating full speed into the shot)...infact only the 2 Europeans could shoot harder than him on the whole Major Junior roster.  He is a true 6'2" and a solid 218 lbs playing weight (currently he is 230-ish) RH shot....standing beside 6'0" Kessel he would 6'3 1/2".  He doesn't mind the rough stuff and can fight if he has too but has no interest in fighting because you can't score from the penalty box.  If he was brought in to be Colton Orr rather than Jagr he would probably leave the team.  He has soft hands and can stick handle in a phone booth.  He is a strong skater as well.

His only weakness is playing defense.  He is below average when caught covering for a defense man.  He can skate backwards and take the body, etc but he seems to over think it or something.  He hasn't had good coaching for a few years which is why he left hockey as he loves to learn.

Anyway I do know Alan Powers here as well as some others but I thought I would look to this community for help/advice.

Hmm, I actually know one of the higher-ups at the company that owns the Brampton Beast. The Beast are owned by a Kingston-based steel company, KIMCO Steel. Gregg Rosen owns KIMCO as well as the Beast so I would just contact him directly and he can help you out or at least point you to the right people that work for him. Here is his contact info:  gregg@kimcosteel.com  or phone him at 613-544-1822 Ext. 146

Good Luck!

I went to high school with President and GM Cary Caplan 30 years ago. Can't say I actually knew him then or now, though, so that's not much help...

Good luck to your boy.
