First up crew says mutual interest between the Leafs and Perry. Could be a great 4th line addition, but there's a lot of ugly there too.
 
Oh boy.  I like how the bottom 6 has played the last few weeks with the combinations of Holmberg/McMann/Robertson but there is no question that Domi's defensive game brings question marks.  Keefe doesn't really trust Robertson and injuries are inevitable

Perry did have 9 points in 16 games with Chicago before the incident.  Perry is a rat.  Teams win the playoffs while being rats.  On a league min deal with may be a little bit of extra motivation to be pissed off.  Maybe that wouldn't be a bad thing to have.

How did they get down to 20 teams?

All but 5 are within 5 pts or so of a wildcard with half a season to go
 
I wouldn't hate it on a league minimum deal. Originally I thought that the bottom-6 didn't need another guy who couldn't play defence but Perry's numbers in that area have actually been surprisingly good over the years. Not a PK guy though which isn't ideal since I think the team could use someone else to take minutes there.
 
Could you imagine if he plays against Toronto in the playoffs? Again!

He would be an on-ice asset wherever he goes.
 
I just hate having dbags on the team, and I thought we kinda filled that quota with domi and Bertuzzi. But whatever, if this will make the difference in the playoffs then fine, whatever.

But does this mean that if he pulls his shenanigans in the playoffs as a leafs player he will automatically be suspended? Because that seems to be the current rule.
 
No and no. He?s not particularly good any more. We don?t need assholes.  There?s no evidence that assholes actually help you win. It is a myth.
 
If you did something to get your contract voided by the blackhawks, of all teams, then why would anyone be interested in his services?

Ignoring the Blackhawks, I had a similar reaction.
At the very least, I'd want to know what the problem was so I could be sure I wasn't importing it.
 
He's scored twice against us in the past 3 playoffs in a row and let's not forget about the decapitation of JT playing around 10 minutes per game. I think it matters what specifically happened in Chicago and we don't have that info so I don't know what to say.

If we could have had him at the beginning of the season at the league minimum, yes please (pre-incident).
 
We already have a good idea of the type of players Treliving wants to add. I?d say Perry fits that type pretty well. Snot and all.
