I thought this was interesting.  The kid get 45 shots (!) on him and makes 32 saves.  Niagara fans were classy as they cheered for each save trying to encourage him as a visiting player, the Ice Dog team all went out after the game to pat him on the back and the officials made him 1st star.

Cool story.

The most impressive thing to me was that he did it in skates that were 3 sizes too small! I can't imagine even trying to stand up in those never mind play goalie.

Talk about a gutsy effort!

Talk about cheap organization though.  Their other goaltender was injured well before the game and they chose to not dress a second goaltender.  No wonder they are trying to move to Hamilton.

According to some tweets from Jeff Marek, the Otters only had 2 goalies available to them. 2 of the goalie prospects they could have called on were involved in playoffs with their regular teams. The other issue here is that the OHL doesn't require teams to dress 2 goalies.

Why should they have to dress 2 goalies when the Leafs don't even have to dress one?
