Round 1: Colorado Avalanche (C1) vs. Seattle Kraken (WC1)

How many games for Makar? The hit was sooo late and he injured McCann. Equally as dirty as Bunting's, both first-time offenders so is it safe to assume 3 games?

Not a chance, I would be shocked if he gets more than one. Makar has a good rep and is better than Bunting, is that good logic? NO!

It was reduced to a minor penalty on the ice, and wasn't a head hit, and was before the whistle. I think McCann saw the puck go out of play and wasn't expecting the hit, and Makar didn't and continued to take the body.

Optics were bad with McCann hurt - Star player offender - no head hit = 1 game, imo.

Play was well over, hit was unnecessary, puck was long gone, and Makar looks like he's unintentionally punching McCann in the chin as part of the follow through.

Wheel of Justice verdict . . . 2 games.

One game??
Buntings 3 game is absolutely ridiculous. Totally off the board in severity of punishment. The league sucks at this. One game?

Makar was less serious in the sense he wasn't targeting the head, but it was way more deliberate and intentional.

Buntings looked worse because he hit Cernak in the head. While less intentional, Bunting is ultimately responsible for getting is elbow up.  I think three games was a bit harsh, but it is what it is.

Kraken upset on the road in Colorado (without Makar). Seattle lead series 3-2. Back to Seattle ..

Offense aside, Colorado just doesn't look very good.  Something is off.

I mean, those forward lines aren't great. From last year: Kadri and Burakovsky are gone. Landeskog's been injured all season. Nichushkin is away currently for reasons.

They've got roster issues for sure. It's a lot easier to clamp down on one line.

Kraken take it. 2 major upsets tonight!

I don't follow anyone but the Leafs closely, but I like the Kraken.
