The Blue Jays (21-26) come home riding a three-game winning streak, courtesy of their last three wins (1 over the Braves, & a series sweep of the Brewers).

In come the Texas Rangers (24-23). Yes, those Texas Rangers, sourpuss victims of the Jays' Jose Bautista's famous bat flip in the 2015 ALDS (won by the Blue Jays).

Revenge time obviously came in the form of Rougned Odor's tasteless punch to the face of Bautista, after a Bautista slide at second base in a game in May 2016.

Of course, all that is in the past, though that bat flip was not lost on the Rangers, nor the punch lost on the Blue Jays.  But the past is the past, and on now to the present as both of these teams are sure to play an intense series.  No love lost here.

GO JAYS GO!

No posts of the last two game results?  Oh well, guess they're lost in transition...

Anyway...

Rangers 3  Blue Jays 1

Natch.  The Blue Jays five-game winning streak came to an end this afternoon courtesy of Rangers' starter Andrew Cashner, who simply didn't allow  the Blue Jays to reach base often.

At the other end, Jays' own Joe Biagini showed some encouraging work as he lasted all of seven innings, for the short time this season that he's been a starter.

"I thought he was solid," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said of Biagini. "We just couldn't get anything going against Cashner."

Biagini pitched six innings, not seven. I honestly don't know where you get your information, is CBC Sports that bad?

I'm sorry, my bad.  I was checking out the Jays Twitter page and mistook the "H" (where it said 7) for "IP "(where it said 6).

Nothing wrong with CBC Sports.

P S.  the "quote" button is not functioning properly on my smartphone.  Having some difficulties.  No problems before Forum was transitioned to new server or whatever.
